Bright modern spacious apartment in the heart of the Royal Mile in the historic Old Town area of Edinburgh.

The apartment is great for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers. Either for a short city break or stay longer.

Straight out of the front door and into the heart of the busy Royal mile, leading down to the Palace of Holyrood or up to the Castle. Just a few minutes walk brings you to the city centre . We want it to be a home for you to enjoy.

The space
The property is quite airy and bright as well as comfortable.

It consists of 2 bedrooms, one with a king-sized bed and one with 2 twin beds. Both of the rooms have hotel-quality linens and towels allowing you to enjoy a good night's sleep and have comfort when freshening up. This is further helped by the property's bathroom which offers both a shower and a bathtub allowing you to freshen up after a day of exploration or before a night out as you please.

Completing the property is a great modern kitchen, stocked with all appliances and a comfortable living and dining room. Please be aware there are quite a few steps to negotiate to get to the apartment ( no lifts as is common with most Edinburgh apartments )

Guest access
Guests can use the whole apartment. including free Wifi. The property is located on the top floor and there are three flights of stairs to the property (approximately 60 stairs). No lift available. Not suitable for anyone with mobility or respiratory issues.

The Royal Mile crosses Edinburgh's Old Town, one of the world's most historic sites. As a result, you will have the opportunity to live in a modern, well-equipped apartment positioned beside many of these historical sites. Such include The Edinburgh Castle which is a 10-minute stroll away, as well as the National Museum of Scotland. You can also reach Princes Street where you will find all the shops. because of its location, you will be at the centre of the Fringe Festival celebrations during the summer.

There are plenty of great pubs, cafes, and restaurants to choose from just outside my doorstep - you won't have to walk anywhere far!

Besides landmarks like the Castle or Princes Street, you can also visit other nearby attraction sites such as the Museum of Edinburgh or the Storytelling Centre. There are also cultural hubs like Edinburgh Playhouse where you can enjoy a touring musical. You can also visit Scotland's famous Parliament building and Holyrood Palace (the Queen's Edinburgh residence) or the surrounding historic streets.

Getting around
My apartment is in the heart of Edinburgh Old Town. This allows you to be close to all travel links and historical sights. For instance, Waverley train station is a mere 7 minutes away allowing you to have access to a transport hub which permits reaching long-distance tourist sites like Edinburgh Zoo or Portobello Beach. You can also take advantage of both buses and trams as the nearest tram stop is on Princes Street, about 10 minutes walk away from the apartment which offer excellent links =to both the airport and to other areas of the city.

The city is also very well-served with a taxi service with the rule of thumb being that £5-£10 will get you almost everywhere. If the back cabs of the city do not catch your fancy there is Uber which allows you to travel safely and conveniently.

ALTIDO Scotland wants you to have a fantastic stay, so encourage you to see the space as a home away from home - treating it as though it is yours! There are, of course, a few things we politely ask guests to note before their arrival and throughout their stay:
- Strictly no smoking, no parties, no pets
- Dispose of rubbish appropriately
- Keep the property clean and tidy
- Whilst washing up and stripping the beds at check out would be appreciated, it is by no means expected
- Quiet hours are between 10:00 PM and 9:00 AM. Please keep the noise down and respect other neighbours in the building
- Please remember to close all windows and doors when leaving the space
- To ensure the safety of our current and future guests, we ask all guests to complete our online check-in form and to provide a valid form of identification.
- Careful attention to the keys is extremely important. Guests are responsible for any additional costs resulting from misplaced keys or locksmith call-outs.
