ALTIDO is delighted to welcome you aboard Matrix Island, a 1930s steel barge which has been converted into a modern boathouse, moored at St Katharine Docks Marina in East London. Attractions nearby include the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. The area offers a wide range of shops, cafes and restaurants to enjoy throughout your stay. Tower Hill Underground Station is a 10-minute walk away, providing great transport links across the city. Set across 2 decks, the vessel offers 5 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, 2 reception areas, a kitchen, a dining area and a furnished winter garden. Sleeps up to 10 guests. Essentials, linen, towels and WiFi are provided.

UPPER DECK
The open-plan living area is spacious and airy, with stunning views of St Katharine Docks Marina. The reception area is furnished with a large L-shaped sofa and a coffee table. The modern kitchen is fully-equipped and includes a coffee machine, a fridge/freezer, a microwave, a kettle, a toaster, a dishwasher, an oven and induction hobs. The adjacent dining area can seat up to 10 guests. The winter garden is at the foredeck and is equipped with outdoor furniture, perfect for alfresco dining. There is a guest toilet at your disposal. A central atrium stairway leads down to the lower deck.

LOWER DECK
The second reception area offers stunning views of the River Thames and is furnished with a large L-shaped sofa, alongside a decorative fireplace. Down the corridor, the first bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed and offers an en-suite shower room equipped with a sauna. The second bedroom is also furnished with a king-size bed and offers an en-suite shower room. The third bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed and offers an en-suite shower room with a separate bathtub. The fourth bedroom is furnished with a double bed, while the fifth bedroom is furnished with 2 single beds. These rooms offer a shared en-suite shower room.

Access

Transport
Tower Hill Underground Station is a 10-minute walk away, servicing the Circle and District lines. The nearest bus stop is St Katharine Docks (Stop TN). If you're travelling by car, the A100 Tower Bridge Road is just around the corner and there is pay-and-display parking nearby. If you’d like to explore the city by bicycle, there is a Santander Cycles bike sharing station just down the road from the boathouse.

Kindly note that the property is not equipped with a television. Also, please be informed that the fireplace is for decorative purposes only and is strictly off limits. Furthermore, the WiFi is set up with a dongle and as such, the reception in the lower deck is not very strong. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

Late Check-in Fees

In addition, a £20 fee will be due if you arrive 2 hours after the agreed check-in time.

*** This property has a very appealing price (lower than the market's average) because it is for sale. All guests will have to allow access for viewings for potential buyers, but the disruption will be kept at a minimum. We will inform guests about timings for these as soon as possible in advance.

Please note that the water system is different from a regular one - the boat has a calorifier tank that is smaller compared to domestic systems. Please allow some time between showers for the water to heat up. Also, our guests can use the marina facilities which offer virtually unlimited hot water.

Wifi is provided by the marina and the speed may vary, although usually the signal strength is good.

ALTIDO London will be in touch to offer you assistance with airport transfers and in-stay services, such as in-stay cleans and linen changes. If there is anything that has been missed out or if you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to get in touch. All feedback is appreciated.

Please note that а refundable damage deposit of GBP 3000 is mandatory and should be paid via card and upon check-in. We inspect the property after you check out; if no damage we refund the deposit within 7 days via bank transfer. Please provide us with your bank details when you book with us.

House Rules
ALTIDO wants you to have a fantastic stay, and we encourage you to see the space as a home away from home—treating it as though it is yours! There are, of course, a few things we politely ask guests to note before their arrival and throughout their stay:
- Strictly no smoking, no parties, no pets.
- Dispose of rubbish appropriately.
- Keep the property clean and tidy.
- Whilst washing up and stripping the beds at check-out would be appreciated, it is by no means expected.
- Quiet hours are between 10 PM and 9 AM. So please keep the noise down and respect the neighbours in the building.
- Please remember to close all windows and doors when leaving.
- To ensure the safety of our current and future guests, we ask all guests to complete our online check-in form and to provide a valid form of identification.
- Careful attention to the keys is extremely important. Guests are responsible for any additional costs resulting from misplaced keys or locksmith call-outs.
