A family home since the early 1600s, this historic castle is perfect for guests looking to immerse themselves in the peaceful seclusion of the Norfolk countryside.
Recently restored and renovated, with parts of the property dating back to 1450, Middleton Castle, in its impressive setting, offers an ideal setting for private stays, celebrations, rural retreats and corporate gatherings.
Surrounded by a moat and set within a 1,000-acre estate, the property has panoramic views out over the lawned gardens and the unspoilt countryside beyond.
There is a family kitchen with an AGA, a separate prep kitchen, and an oak-panelled dining room. The four good-sized multifunctional reception rooms offer setups for a variety of uses, and one of the reception rooms is a Billiards Room with table tennis, snooker table, and board games.
The castle can accommodate 30 guests across 15 beautifully decorated bedrooms. There are 9 double beds, 3 zip & link beds, and 3 twin bedrooms, all of which are decorated to a high standard in keeping with the elegant and classic style of the rest of the property. In addition to five elegant en-suite bathrooms, there are three large family bathrooms and two downstairs toilets, all of which have locally sourced amenities. There is also potential to accommodate more guests on the estate, with two additional guest cottages - Tower Lodge and Keepers Cottage. Essentials, linen, towels, TV & WiFi are all provided.
With an impressive approach up the private driveway to the castle, this exclusive-use country estate is magnificent and guarantees complete privacy. It is located on the outskirts of the village of Middleton, and there are local walks through woodland and farmland for you to explore this wonderful part of the Norfolk countryside. The historic market town of Kings Lynn is a ten-minute drive from the property.
There are a variety of landscaped lawns, including a croquet lawn and an additional six-acre lawn, which can be used for larger-scale events. The gardens also have multiple outdoor seating areas and a summer house.
Please note that а refundable damage deposit of GBP 1000 is mandatory and should be paid via card and upon check-in. We inspect the property after you check out; if there is no damage, we refund the deposit within 7 days via bank transfer. Please provide us with your bank details when you book with us.

– Strictly no smoking.
– Dispose of rubbish appropriately.
– Keep the property clean and tidy.
– Whilst washing up and stripping the beds at check-out would be appreciated, it is by no means expected.
– Please remember to close all windows and doors when leaving.
– Careful attention to the keys is extremely important. Guests are responsible for any additional costs resulting from misplaced keys or locksmith call-outs.
