An idyllic country retreat in one of the most desired areas of Scotland at the heart of The Rothiemurchus Estate.

The Polchar sleeps 10 people with 5 bedrooms in total.

There is an open planned Kitchen/Informal Dining and Living Room area on the ground floor as well as a formal dining area in a separate room.

There is a king ensuite bedroom on the ground floor with a private patio area/walled garden
On the ground floor, there is also a cloakroom, toilet, utility room with a washer and dryer
On the first floor, there are two king en-suite rooms, 1 double room and 1 single (but spacious room with space for a blow-up bed) with a family bathroom with bathtub/shower head.

Note: There is a travel cot available at the property upon request.

The gardens are extensive with ponds, summer house, hot tub, children's play area, outside kitchen, BBQs (weber style and built-in gas), lawn garden, Japanese garden, apple trees and pond with a stream running along the bottom of the garden.
There is also a small golf pitching area with a green bunker.
There is a built and locked bike shed for rental bikes or personal bikes and a log shed for the open fires and wood burners.

Guest Acess
Guests have access to the whole property and all the gardens.
Only the owner barn accommodation and some storage areas at the back of the land are off-limits for guests (note - the owners do not live at this property but occasionally use it and so do the gardeners).

Other things to note
Pets are welcome but please disclose this in the initial inquiry stage and an additional charge will occur.

Surroundings
The property is in the heart of The Rothiemurchus Estate on the outskirts of Aviemore on the country road that leads to one of the most beautiful lochs in Scotland, Loch An Eilein.

The area is a wonderland for the outdoors. Everything is possible in terms of outdoor activities with many offered within the estate including walks through the Caledonian Forest, running, cycling, canoeing, loch sailing, swimming, fishing, clay pigeon and grouse shooting, hunting, trout and salmon fishing. You are only a short drive away from skiing, golfing (excellent courses of Dalfaber and Boat of Garten) crafts and art venues, amazing food, Highland Wildlife Park, Speyside Whisky trail and numerous gin distilleries and tasting. The location is also a great starting point for walking through the Lairig Ghru and five Monroes, including the second and third highest mountains in Britain.

Getting Around
Aviemore train station is 5 minutes drive from the property

By car the property is 2 hours and 45 minutes from Edinburgh and Glasgow and is easily accessible from the A9 via Aviemore

The property is only a 45 minute drive from Inverness Airport with direct access to London Airport and other main hubs in the UK and some international airports

You can find a list of activities on the Rothiemurchus Estate website and the local Aviemore website. Our team can also give more suggestions and information. We strongly advise you to book well in advance.

The property itself, also has extensive gardens that have been carefully grown and landscaped over the last 30 years! The gardens alone are an activity and provide a private and peaceful environment to stay in.

ALTIDO Scotland wants you to have a fantastic stay, so encourage you to see the space as a home away from home - treating it as though it is yours! There are, of course, a few things we politely ask guests to note before their arrival and throughout their stay:
- Strictly no smoking, no parties, no pets
- Dispose of rubbish appropriately
- Keep the property clean and tidy
- Whilst washing up and stripping the beds at check out would be appreciated, it is by no means expected
- Quiet hours are between 10:00 PM and 9:00 AM. Please keep the noise down and respect other neighbours in the building
- Please remember to close all windows and doors when leaving the space
- To ensure the safety of our current and future guests, we ask all guests to complete our online check-in form and to provide a valid form of identification.
- Careful attention to the keys is extremely important. Guests are responsible for any additional costs resulting from misplaced keys or locksmith call-outs.
