The flat is central yet quiet and peaceful and can be your sanctuary...
There are two bedrooms both with king-size beds, a family bathroom with a rainfall shower and bath, a second toilet room, a modern & spacious open-plan kitchen and a dining area with a door to our private patio garden. The lounge is a comfortable place to relax after a long day of sightseeing. It has large windows street side to a private forecourt. The bedrooms overlook a quiet garden to the rear and a private forecourt to the front with large windows in each. Both bedrooms have new John Lewis king sized beds with top quality linen and towels and wardrobes.

Our flat is located in a Georgian house at the eastern end of the historic New Town, that was built in the 1820's by W. H. Playfair. New Town forms part of the UNESCO world heritage site. In a Grade A listed building with classic high ceilings our apartment was the original kitchens to the house. Now a lower ground floor flat, it has been architecturally restored to an exciting standard, highlighting traditional period features while benefiting from modern luxuries.
As my family home for over 45 years, my wife and I spent nearly a year lovingly restoring and upgrading it…bringing together the old and the new. Throughout the kitchen, hallways and bathrooms we installed under floor heating beneath the original flagstones… a real mission! You will have all the comforts of home... the apartment is warm and cozy at any time of year.
And bring your own music - there is a nice bluetooth speaker to connect with.
Guests will have access to the entire flat.

We are ON the Edinburgh marathon start line!
There is a flight of outside stairs to the flat.
Please note - if the sofa bed is used there is an additional fee of £20 for linen. Sofa bed linen is not provided by default so please let us know if it is required.
Please note that a baby cot is available on request but not included in the nightly rate. If you would like to use it, please let us know. An additional charge of £20 will occur.
Note: Phone reception is poor inside the property.

ALTIDO Scotland wants you to have a fantastic stay, so encourage you to see the space as a home away from home - treating it as though it is yours! There are, of course, a few things we politely ask guests to note before their arrival and throughout their stay:
- Strictly no smoking, no parties, no pets
- Dispose of rubbish appropriately
- Keep the property clean and tidy
- Whilst washing up and stripping the beds at check out would be appreciated, it is by no means expected
- Quiet hours are between 10:00 PM and 9:00 AM. Please keep the noise down and respect other neighbours in the building
- Please remember to close all windows and doors when leaving the space
- Careful attention to the keys is extremely important. Guests are responsible for any additional costs resulting from misplaced keys or locksmith call-outs.
- To ensure the safety of our current and future guests, we ask all guests to complete our online check-in form and to provide a valid form of identification.
